Services included with the SUITES

Suites are available for weekly and monthly stays: please contact us for availability and rates.

For weekly stays of less than 4 weeks, the rates include VAT (sales tax), reception service, weekly and end of stay cleaning, a weekly set of linen and sheets and utilities (electric power, water), Internet connection, flat screen TV with DVD player. The suites are provided with air conditioning and heating.
For stays longer than 4 weeks, utilities are to be paid by the guest. Breakfast and daily cleanings are NOT included for this type of stay unless requested and charged extra.

EXTRA SERVICES

  • Supplement for Late Check-in/Check-Out
  • Breakfast can be ordered by guests during office hours.
  • Upon request and availability of personnel (mornings only by 11 a.m.), a laundry and ironing service is available at a modest charge.
  • Daily cleaning of the suite - one hour duration (€ 20)
  • An extra set of clean set of linen (bedsheets and towels) (€ 10)

  • Free fax service during the reception's opening times.

Tourism Tax

Following City Council Resolution n. 230/33 of 06/20/2011, from July 1, 2011 the City of Florence introduced a tourism tax to be applied to non-residents staying overnight, for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.

The tourism tax rate is Euro 4 per person per night, and is not applied to:

  • children up to 12 years old;
  • people who provide assistance to patients in hospital, max one person per patient;
  • people/family who provide assistance to underage patients in hospital, max two people per patient.

Hours, Terms and Cancellations

Check-in and check-out

Guests can check-in between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. and 3 and 6:30 p.m. and check-out is by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

Reception/Office Hours

We are open Mondays through Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Sundays, the reception is only open until 1 p.m. Check-in is between 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Anyone arriving by car, needs to check-in by 5:00 p.m. Check-in outside office hours or on holidays (including Sunday afternoons) should be arranged with the staff before your arrival.

KEYS are to be returned to the reception desk at check out.
The penalty for lost or unreturned keys is € 100,00!

Payment must be completed on check-in.

Pets, Elevator, Concierge

La Casa del Garbo accepts only small-sized dogs.
No elevator is available given the historical nature of the building.
There is no porter service.
The concierge is available during the hours that the Reception is open.

Cancellation Fees

In case of a total or partial cancellation of a confirmed reservation, penalties will apply and will be charged to the client’s credit card.
